The House of God

The House of God is a satirical novel by Samuel Shem, published in 1978. It portrays the psychological harm done to medical residents during the course of medical residency.

In is excerpt from short film, the interns learn about "The Electronic GOMER bed" (G.O.M.E.R. = Get Out of My Emergency Room! e.g., a very old patient that never dies).
